August: Unique and creative days worthy of celebration.
Hot days, cool nights
By Kathryn Peterson

Infusions are hot across the country (even entire bars are dedicated to them), but these flavorful drinks with fruits and spices marinated in alcohol often take days to make. If you don’t have time to wait, try an innovative "instafusion" in your own home. Quick and easy, these modified recipes take just minutes and are sure to liven any night spent entertaining friends.

Whatever drink you serve your company, simplicity is the way to go. "Don’t go overboard," says Ultimate Party Drink Book author Bruce Weinstein. Keep the menu offerings small. Serve two or three different drinks that don’t take all of your time and keep you away from your guests. You can also learn how to make a refreshing infusion--the real deal.

Instafusion Recipes:

Nolita
Watermelon Cocktail

French Martini
Godzilla
Silk Road
